Acts 9 | Greg Opean
Sunday, August 16, 2026
Greg Opean
Packinghouse’s Sunday morning worship service from August 16, 2026.
Saul’s encounter with Jesus completely changes the direction of his life, turning the man who persecuted Christians into someone boldly proclaiming that Jesus is the Son of God. As others struggle to trust that his transformation is real, the message distinguishes forgiveness from trust and shows how trust can be rebuilt over time through consistent actions. Barnabas eventually steps in to encourage Saul and help bring him into fellowship with the apostles, while Saul himself is humbled and learns to surrender his plans to God. The teaching closes by looking at Saul’s coming years of obscurity as a reminder that seasons of waiting and struggle can be seasons God uses to prepare His people for what He has ahead.
