Ed Rea
Packinghouse’s Sunday morning worship service from August 23, 2026.
Paul corrects the Corinthians for the careless way they were approaching the Lord’s Supper and brings their attention back to what communion is meant to remember: Jesus’ body given for us and His blood shed for the forgiveness of sin. Pastor Ed explains that churches may practice communion differently, but the important thing is not allowing it to become an empty ritual or losing sight of the sacrifice it represents. Communion points us to the New Covenant, the forgiveness Jesus purchased for us, and the work of the Holy Spirit in changing our hearts. The message encourages believers to examine themselves, receive God’s forgiveness, and approach the Lord’s Table with gratitude and a renewed focus on Jesus.
