What I Will To Do, That I Do Not
In Romans 7, Pastor Ed walks through Paul’s deeply personal reflection on the inner battle every believer faces. Paul describes how the law, while holy and good, exposes our sinful nature and reveals our inability to overcome sin by our own strength. Even with the desire to do right, believers often find themselves trapped by the weakness of the flesh. Pastor Ed illustrates this daily struggle with temptation and the insufficiency of willpower alone. The chapter closes with Paul’s cry of frustration—“Who will deliver me from this body of death?”—immediately answered by the hope found in Jesus Christ. Victory comes not through self-effort, but through the grace and power of Christ working in us.
