After God delivers Israel through the Red Sea, their response is to sing together, remembering who God is and what He has done for them. Their song gives God the glory for their deliverance and reminds them of His faithfulness before the next trial comes. Just three days later, they encounter the bitter waters of Marah, where God tests them and teaches them to cry out to Him, listen, and trust His direction. The chapter reminds us that difficult seasons are not our final destination, and that God uses them to grow our faith as He continues leading us forward.
