Exodus 6:6–7 — The Four Cups
This study looks at the four cups of Passover and the four promises God gave Israel: “I will bring you out, I will deliver you, I will redeem you, and I will take you as My people.” Each promise points beyond Israel’s deliverance from Egypt to the greater redemption fulfilled in Jesus, our Passover Lamb. The teaching connects the cup of redemption to communion and Christ’s blood of the New Covenant, while looking ahead to the final celebration of God’s redeemed people with Christ. It closes with Jesus in Gethsemane, willingly taking the cup of judgment we deserved so that we could receive the blessing of forgiveness, redemption, and belonging to God.
