The Courage to Stand
Pastor Rick continues through 1 Peter as we are reminded that following Christ does not guarantee a life free of suffering. Instead, believers are called to sanctify Christ as Lord in their hearts, anchoring their hope in Him even when facing fear, persecution, or opposition. The early church faced intense trials under Nero’s reign, yet Peter encourages them — and us — to live with confidence, knowing that God sees, blesses, and strengthens those who suffer for doing good. As we set Christ apart in our hearts, we are called to be ready to gently and respectfully share the hope we have with others.
