Matthew 6:1-18 | Rick Cornejo

Rick Cornejo
Packinghouse’s Sunday evening worship service from October 11, 2026.
Jesus challenges us to examine what we treasure, where we place our attention, and who we are truly serving. Through His teachings on fasting, earthly possessions, and serving two masters, He reminds us that even good things can become distractions when they take the place of God in our hearts. While money, relationships, and material blessings have their place, none of them can provide the lasting security and fulfillment found in Christ. Rather than building our lives around things that will eventually fade, Jesus calls us to invest in what lasts forever by growing in our relationship with Him, sharing the gospel, serving others, and using the time and opportunities He has given us for His kingdom.
