Tabitha was a faithful disciple whose simple skill of sewing became a practical way to show God’s love to vulnerable people in her community. When she died, the widows she had cared for gathered around, holding the clothing she had made and showing the impact of a life spent serving others. God miraculously raised Tabitha through Peter, and many throughout Joppa came to believe in the Lord. Her life reminds us that we do not need a platform or extraordinary abilities to be used by God; He can take the ordinary skills He has given us and use them to bring dignity, care, and love to the people around us.
