1 Corinthians 13:1–7 — This is Love
Paul shows that spiritual gifts, knowledge, faith, generosity, and even great sacrifice mean nothing if they are not rooted in love. The love he describes is not simply a feeling, but the selfless, active love of God that we receive from Him and learn to show to others. This kind of love is patient and kind, refuses envy and pride, does not keep a record of wrongs, and chooses truth over sin. Jesus is our perfect example of this love, and as we follow Him, God continues changing us so that His love becomes visible in the way we treat the people around us.
